Riders of different ages and skill levels training together on a coaching facility

Training Facilities & Coaching Tracks

Built for doing the same section fifty times, properly.

A race track and a training ground aren't the same job. Training is about repetition, isolating a skill and giving a rider somewhere to actually get better — not just somewhere to lap. That changes how the ground gets shaped from the start.

Training is its own discipline

Progression over lap time.

A good training facility grows with the riders using it — what challenges a beginner shouldn't be the same thing a squad rider is drilling twelve months later. If your plan includes multiple riders across different ages and abilities on one property, our private family tracks page covers a lot of the same ground, and what we build shows how training zones can sit alongside a full track.

Built for repetition

A training ground gets ridden the same way a hundred times over. Sections need to hold their shape under that kind of load.

Skill-isolated sections

Corners, jumps and rhythm broken into standalone sections so a coach can drill one thing at a time.

Progression built in

Layouts that let a rider start easy and dial the difficulty up as their skill actually improves.

Room for mixed ability

Beginners and experienced riders training on the same ground without one group holding the other back.

Easy to reset

Ground shaped so a coach or operator can knock a section back into shape without heavy machinery every time.

Built around your program

Whether it's a coaching business, a squad or a family training ground, the layout follows how it'll actually run.

Adam Thurrowgood on site discussing a training facility layout

Designed by someone who's coached from the seat.

Adam's 25+ years behind the controls and the handlebars means a training layout gets built with an understanding of what a coach actually needs from the ground, not just what looks good from the fence. If the facility needs to sit within a bigger property plan, a property assessment is the right place to start, and our Mount Isa training facility Build Diary shows that progression work in practice.

What we'll talk through.

  • Who trains here and at what level — juniors, squads, mixed ability
  • What skills the facility needs to isolate and drill
  • How often sections get reset and who's doing that upkeep
  • Property size and whether it needs multiple training zones
  • Whether it links to a full track or stands alone
  • Growth — building now for where the program's headed

Progression, proven on a real facility.

We built a Mount Isa private motocross training track for a family's young riders, then returned to rebuild and extend it as they progressed — the same trip that took us to the Mount Isa Motocross Club rebuild.
