How To Size A Jump For A Seven Year Old
Low consequence does not mean boring

The mistake with junior jumps is shrinking an adult jump. Small bikes carry less speed and far less suspension travel, so the geometry has to change, not just the size.
Flatten the face
A steep face on a 50cc launches the front and lands the rider nose-first. Long, low faces let the bike leave level at whatever speed the rider brings.
Stretch the table, fall the landing
Long tables mean casing is a bump, not a crash. Landings should fall away gently for a long distance so both a timid and a committed rider find dirt.
Build for the parents too
Junior tracks need sight lines. If a parent can see the whole lap from one spot, kids ride longer and everyone relaxes. That principle shaped the junior section of the Mount Isa rebuild.

Adam has spent 25+ years behind the controls and the handlebars. He designs every Full Throttle Earthworks track himself, from the rider's seat as much as the operator's — around the land, the bikes and the people riding them.
No templates and no copy-paste layouts. If a section doesn't feel right on the bike, it doesn't stay in the ground.
He writes about track building, flow, terrain and what actually changes when you ride what you build.
